The Wave has learned that the NYC Department of Homeless Services is going to place a new homeless shelter at 1252 Brunswick – Far Rockaway Cathedral church, to house 72 adult families.
The facility will be run by Black Veterans For Social Justice; our source says “the new building scheduled to open in 2022, with a five-year contract with option to renew.”
