A SUCCESSFUL WALK FOR WARMTH ON SUNDAY, OCT. 11, 2026

“Yesterday we walked, and the rain did not let up. Umbrellas, ponchos, soaked clothing, the whole thing.

There was something fitting about it. A day like this forces us to consider what a cold, wet night does to a person sleeping outside, and for a few hours we got the smallest taste of it, knowing we had dry clothes and a warm place waiting at the end.

Our neighbors on the street do not. That is the whole reason we do this!

To everyone who showed up in that weather, thank you. You could have stayed home, and nobody would have blamed you”.
